The data protection regulator, The Information Commissioner's Office, has approved the first sector owned Code of Conduct - The Association of British Investigators Ltd (ABI) UK GDPR code of conduct for Investigative and Litigation Support Services.
Organisations have the option to establish codes of conduct to pinpoint and tackle data protection concerns relevant to their industry. By adhering to the ABI Code, private sector investigators can offer clients a sense of security and confidence in the services they provide, as the code explicitly deals with data protection challenges specific to the private investigations sector.
